The beef price is $3.28/lb including processing and is based on hanging weight. To place an order a $100 deposit is required with the balance due on order pick-up. Also the Beef Processing Ticket needs to be filled out to provide the information needed for custom cutting your order.  The beef deposit can be made online or by mail by selecting the CLICK HERE link above to add it to your cart located on the right side of this page.


Our beef is sold by the quarter, half or whole and custom cut to portion sizes you choose for your family's meal planning needs. It is then Quick Frozen to insure quality and freshness. Processing is available at a local Minnesota State Certified Facility. Marbling within beef is the primary determinant of USDA Quality Grade. It is stated beef cuts with higher levels of marbling are more likely to be tender, juicy and more flavorful than cuts with very low levels of marbling. USDA's highest Quality Grade Prime has a degree of marbling rating of moderately abundant. This is what we try to attain with our Butkiewicz Family Farm Beef. The ground beef from our steers is about 85% lean. GREAT FOR GRILLING A quarter beef is considered 1/2 of 1/2 providing a mix of cuts available in both the front and hind quarters. Our prices are $2.80/lb. based on hanging weight. Processing, done by Roger Line and Sons, runs $.48/lb totaling $3.28/lb. Hanging weight is taken after it is aged, prior to the start of the custom cutting. A typical quarter is approximately 185 lbs. hanging weight x $3.28/lb totaling approximately $600. We take pride in raising a high quality product you can't find at your local grocery store. An average savings on cuts of over $100 on a quarter and over $200 on a half over grocery store meat is typical. (A) Depending on previous orders and availability it is usually about 2-6 weeks.
